A brief tutorial on how to use 'Makeup Match'

We'll begin with clarifying that the application designed to match you with the best matching product to your skin shade but it has its limits and the result may vary depending on your lighting settings and camera angle.

Lighting is KEY

For best results, during midday, look for a spot in your home which has a soft, natural light coming in but keep away from direct sunlight as it creates hard contrasts between shades and highlights. Who knows, the spot might be on the sofa you're sitting on right now...

Alternative light sources

In case no natural light is available look for a white light source.

It can be at the makeup shop as they use a white light or by using a dedicated light ring.

Try to face the light source to reduce the amount of shadows on your face.

This will allow the application to recognize the precise shade of your skin.
